2017 KC 811 BLOCK PARTY
The 2nd annual 811 Block Party was held in Kansas City on Thursday, August 10th, 2017. With last year having it's challenges; being 105 degrees, and located off of Walnut street outside of the Power & Light district, the event didn't create as much public traffic as anticipated. This year the event team decided to move the event into the KC Live! Power & Light Leinenkugel's patio, which was a big hit! Partnering the event with the Pat Green & LoCash concert that evening allowed the event to reach more general public and spread 811 awareness.

The goal of the event was to raise awareness and remind the public to always "Call 811 Before You Dig". K&W Underground, Inc. and many other companies were proud sponsors of the event. Sponsors, teams, and the general public enjoyed great food, company swag, and raffle giveaways- all for a great cause.

Our own former K&W Underground, Inc. President, Rex Schick, was featured on the KC Live! mega-tron at the Q104 Hot Country Nights Concert that evening reminding others what 811 is about, and why it is important. Check out the video below!
